Mornington Peninsula
Coolart and Hodgins Road Vineyards

These vineyards are in the north eastern part of the Mornington Peninsula which is warmer and lower lying with an average elevation of 70m.  The soils are largely sedimentary with mainly brown and yellow chromosols. These are duplex soils made up of a loamy surface over the clayey upper subsoil.  We source fruit from two growers in the area:

Mike Payne supplies the classic peninsula varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. A mix of three Pinot clones (MV6, M115 and a Dijon clone) are used for our Pinot Noir.

Tom at Coolart Nursery supplies our Verdello.
